Lake Lauderdale Children’s Fishing Tournament

PLEASE HELP US BY SPONSORING THIS YEAR'S EVENT

The Lake Lauderdale Improvement Association will be hosting our 12th Annual Children’s Fishing Tournament on Sunday, August 24, 2008. As always, there will be no fee charged to children entering the contest. Hot dogs, refreshments and a small bag of fishing tackle will be provided to all participants.

We had a wonderful turnout last summer with over 85 young anglers lining the shores of Lake Lauderdale, many of who were trying to catch their very first fish. In fact, I am happy to report that 24 “first” fish were caught and released. LLIA’s goal this year to have 125 local children between the ages of 4-15 attend this morning full of fishing and fun and I am writing to ask for your support. Any donation will be greatly appreciated and acknowledged on our “Sponsor
Board” that will be prominently displayed at the contest. Sponsors will be listed in our LLIA newsletter that is distributed to over 140 LLIA members and will also appear on the association’s website. Your generous gifts of actual products such as t-shirts, hats, and fishing tackle are effective motivations for these young anglers and help reinforce the value of a fun morning of fishing. It also puts your product name in front of and in the hands of lots of young anglers who
we all hope will grow up instilled with the love of fishing. LLIA has 501c3 status so the value of your gift is deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

The tournament is strictly catch-and-release, shoreline fishing only and will be conducted according to New York State fishing regulations.

THANK YOU in advance for your assistance to the Lake Lauderdale Improvement Association, Inc. in helping to provide our local children with a fun morning of fishing at the lake. If you need further information, please do not hesitate to contact me at (518) 436-7924.
